With heartfelt sadness we announce the passing of long standing member of the Formby community, Derek Walker

Celebrating the Life of Derek Walker, 21st December 1933 - 21st October 2024

It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of Derek Walker, a long-standing member of the Formby community. Derek lived in Formby for over 50 years, where he raised his family and made many friends through his involvement in local activities. He was well-known for his love of bowls and was an active member of a local wine-tasting club, where he shared his joy for life and good company.

A service to honour Derek’s life will be held on Friday, 8th November, at 12:40 pm at Walton Lea Crematorium, Chester Rd, Higher Walton, Warrington WA4 6TB.

Friends and family are invited to join us for refreshments at The Stag Pub afterward to celebrate his memory.

In lieu of flowers, we kindly request donations to Dementia UK in Derek’s name.

We hope this message reaches all those who knew Derek, and we appreciate your support and remembrance during this time.
