High Tides expected today and tomorrow along with strong winds making tides even higher.

High tides and strong winds on the Formby coast this weekend when Tides will be highest around lunchtime and midnight.

There is a very high tide today, Saturday 6th November at 12.31pm in Sefton. If you are heading down to our beautiful beach, please be careful.

There will be little or no beach available for approximately one hour either side of this time. Today the tide at Formby, Southport, Ainsdale and Crosby will rise to 9.40 meters and will be at it's highest at 12.31pm this afternoon. Please wrap up well and take care.

Tides are the rise and fall of sea levels caused by the combined effects of gravitational forces exerted by the Moon, Sun, and rotation of the Earth.
