Volunteer Heritage Researchers Needed in Formby
Are you passionate about local history? The Sefton at 50 Hearts of Gold Project is looking for volunteers from Formby to help uncover and celebrate the area’s heritage from the last 50 years. This exciting opportunity involves working with the Heritage Officer to create a vibrant heritage trail in the local area. No previous experience is required—just an interest in Formby’s history and a willingness to get involved.
Sessions will take place at The Attic, Formby Heritage Centre, which is located above Woodwards in Formby Village at 16 Chapel Lane. Access is via the alleyway. The project will run on Thursday afternoons from 30th January to 27th February, with sessions held from 1 pm to 3 pm. However, the team is flexible with times and attendance, so don’t hesitate to reach out if you’re interested but need to discuss alternative options.
Travel expenses can be reimbursed, and this is a fantastic chance to contribute to your community and help preserve its rich history. To find out more or to apply, contact the team at heritage@seftoncvs.org.uk or call 07706317745.
Get involved and help bring Formby’s heritage to life!
