This years Formby Festival has been postponed until July 2022

Formby Festival Event Co-ordinator, Cllr Maria Bennett said: “Due to circumstances beyond our control, the Formby Festival Committee has been left with no choice other than to postpone this year's event to July 2022.”

“We will be back bigger and stronger next year to celebrate our 10th anniversary and we hope you can join us!!”

”It was only decided on Thursday after a meeting with Sefton Council that the event would not be able to go ahead and we felt it important that all traders and ticket holders should be the first to know so they were all contacted yesterday with the following email via ticket source.”

“I have been dealing with refund requests from first thing this morning which is going to take some time but anyone wanting a refund will get it.”

“We would however like to think that everyone would continue to support the event and transfer their tickets to next years event which will be our 10 Anniversary. Obviously we have fees to pay when taking bookings which we will not recoup when we give out refunds which then puts us in a position of losing money again this year.”

“We are all very disappointed that the event can't take place this year considering all the time, effort and planning that has taken place but we will be back with a bang next year.”
