There are exciting matches ahead in the last few weeks of the season for many of Formby Junior Sports Club’s teams.

In the Hightown Junior League four teams have cup semi-final matches to play.  They are FJSC’s Under 11 Blacks, Under 12 Blacks, Under 13 Blacks and Under 15 Blacks.  Already with a place in the Shield Final FJSC Under 11 Whites will play Netherton Athletic on Saturday 17th May.  In the Spring Premier Leagues both FJSC Under 12 Blacks and FJSC Under 13 Blacks are presently joint top of their respective divisions.

On Sunday 4TH May FJSC Under 12 Blacksare in action against Churchtown Jaguars in the Craven Minor League’s Joseph Jackson Cup Final at 11.15am.  On the same day FJSC Under 13 Blacks play Fleetwood Hesketh in the Catherine Oldfield Cup Final at 1pm.  These two Cup Final matches will be playedat Southport FC’s Big Help Stadium (Haig Avenue).

INTER CLUB FOOTBALL

Inter Club resumes this Saturday 26th April at the usual times.

INTER CLUB START TIMES AT DEANSGATE LANE ON SATURDAY 26thAPRIL

9.00am -  9.30am.   -    GOALKEEPER COACHING

9.30am -  10.40am.   – YEARS SEVEN/ EIGHT / NINE

10.00am – 11.10am.  – 4’s / RECEPTION/ YEAR ONE

10.40am – 11.45am.  – YEAR TWO / YEAR THREE

11.15am – 12.30pm.  -  YEARS FOUR / FIVE / SIX

11.15am – 12.15pm. -   GIRLS IN YEAR TWO,THREE,FOUR AND FIVE

ALL GROUP SESSIONS WILL COMPRISE OF COACHING AND A FUN MATCH.  THERE IS A £3 CHARGE EACH SATURDAY FOR COACHING.

NEW CHILDREN WISHING TO ATTEND TO SEE IF THEY LIKE IT WILL BE MADE VERY WELCOME

CLUB NEWS

FJSC’s Annual Presentation Evening will be held at the Gild Hall on Church Road, Formby on Friday 9th May for Representative teams and Inter Club trophy winners at the following times:-

Under 7’s, Under 8’s and Under 9’s from 6.15 to 7pm.,

Under 10’s and Under 11’s from 7.30 to 8.15pm.

Under 12’s, Under 13’s, Under 14’s and Under 15’s from 8.45 to 9.30pm.    

The last Inter Club session of the season is on Saturday 10th May which will be followed after each session by a medals presentation for Inter Club members.

GIRLS’ FOOTBALL

There will be free taster sessions on Saturday 26th April for girls in present years 2, 3, 4 and 5, from 11.15 am to 12.15 pm, at Deansgate Lane.

This is for girls who want to give football a try to see if they like it.  The hour long session will have a little bit of coaching followed by a fun game.

POSSIBLE NEW UNDER 9 TEAM TO BE FORMED

FJSC are hoping to form a new FJSC Under 9 team on Sundays for next season ( Year 4 in September).  Please contact Frank Rourke at stellathecat4@gmail.com  as soon as possible if interested.

POSSIBLE NEW UNDER 7 TEAM TO BE FORMED

FJSC are also considering forming another FJSC Under 7 teams (Year 2 in September) on Sundays next season.  Please contact Frank Rourke at stellathecat4@gmail.com as soon as possible if interested.

Decisions on whether these possible new teams will go ahead will be made no later than 10th May.
