The Spring Equinox, also known as the Vernal Equinox, which takes place on March 20 at 9:01 AM GMT, marks the shift when daylight hours begin to overtake the darkness, leading us into brighter and warmer months ahead.

While we may lose an hour of sleep that night, the extra daylight in the evenings will be welcomed by those who love sunset walks on Formby Beach, after-school playtime for the kids, and longer afternoons in the garden.
