RNLI lifeguards all-terrain vehicle stolen from Formby Beach

RNLI lifeguards arrived at Formby Beach, to find their storage container broken into and all-terrain vehicle stolen.
Overnight, between the 2-3 July, the RNLI’s lifeguard storage container at Formby Beach was broken into. A red Honda all-terrain vehicle was stolen, registration WK22 UPP.
This vehicle is an essential tool used to assist the lifeguard team in their daily operations, such as transporting vital lifesaving equipment and enabling efficient safety cover to a large remote area.
Andy Jordan, RNLI Lead Lifeguard Supervisor said:
‘We were so saddened to find this morning that locks have been forced into on our storage facility and essential lifesaving equipment stolen.
‘This equipment is paid for by our generous donors and is vital for allowing us to operate and help people in difficulty in the water off Formby Beach.
‘We urge anyone with information to contact Merseyside Police.’
