Range High School once again establishing its reputation of excellence in Formby with GCSE Results
A statement from Range High Headteacher, Mike McGarry about the Range High School GCSE results 2022…
I am delighted to announce record results at GCSE level this year here at Range High School.
Our students should be delighted with themselves and rightly proud of all of their hard work, resilience and determination. An astonishing 38% of all of the grades were graded at 7-9 or equivalent to A*/A in the old grading system. Furthermore over 88% of all of the grades were graded 4-9 (A*-C) which represents a huge achievement especially in light of the pandemic and the impact of lockdowns on our students’ education.
I would like to congratulate our entire Y11 cohort, their parents and of course our teachers and support staff who have worked tirelessly to support our young people. Well done to everyone, this is an achievement to be celebrated across our entire school community. It is also particularly pleasing considering the record results posted last week following the A-Levels and is further evidence that Range High School is once again establishing itself and its reputation of excellence in Formby and the wider catchment area.
Once again, a huge well done to all of our GCSE cohort and we look forward to welcoming the vast majority of them back to Range for the Sixth Form. Those going on to study elsewhere, we wish you every success in the future.
With best wishes,
Mike McGarry
Headteacher
