Rainbow Hub Workout-Athon goes virtual
The seventh annual Rainbow Hub Workout-Athon which takes place on Sunday 7th March 2021 will go virtual
this year to raise much needed funds for the Mawdesley based charity supporting children and young people with physical and neurological disabilities.
The event, supported by JMW solicitors, would normally take place at Preston North End Football Club but the
pandemic has meant the participants cannot gather together and they will be taking part in the three hours of fun
filled and energetic workouts via Zoom from their own homes.
The classes, which include Rock Box, Attack and Combat Mash Up, Zumba, Legs, Bums & Tums and HIIT Mash Up
and Cool Down, will run from 9 am to 12 noon and participants can do as much or as little as they wish.
All classes will be delivered by qualified fitness instructors: Rachel Burrows, Gill Swift, Joanne Berends-Sheriff,
Kurt McDonnell and Penny Seddon. We thank them all for giving up their time for free, to make this event possible!
Kat Nelson, organiser and Head of Fundraising at Rainbow Hub, said, “we are obviously disappointed that we
cannot run our normal event at Preston North End as it is popular and fun but it is obviously not possible this year.
However, our other virtual events have been very successful and we are hoping lots of supporters will join in, get some exercise, have fun and raise funds for us.”
Participants are asked for a minimum £10 donation and can book their place on the Rainbow Hub web
site at https://www.rainbowhub.org/event/workoutathon/ The closing date for online entries is Friday 5th March at 12 noon
