Rainbow Hub’s 20th Birthday Celebration Virtual Ramble to raise funds

Rainbow Hub, is calling on all Rainbow Ramblers to join their 20th Birthday Celebrations by taking part in
their Virtual Ramble on Saturday 24th April 2021, an event supported by JMW Solicitors and Frank Whittle
Partnership.
The charity has been supporting children and young people with physical and neurological disabilities
for 20 years and would love to have a big party but cannot due to COVID restrictions. But they are not
giving up and are inviting all those who would usually take part in the Rainbow Ramble, as well as anybody
else who would like to support them, to make a donation and enter their Virtual Rainbow Ramble.
On Saturday 24th April 2021, as long as everyone stays safe and keeps within the government guidelines,
Rainbow Hub are asking people to use their daily exercise to walk, run, or cycle the 5 or 11 miles
usually undertaken for the Rainbow Ramble. If they are isolating, shielding or not a fan of walking or
running, they can choose their own challenge - skip, hop, roll or jump around their house or garden,
do the hoola hoop, press ups, star jumps or anything else they fancy.
The usual entry fee for the Ramble is £15 for adults; £5 for children and free for those in wheelchairs and
pushchairs. But any amount donated will be fantastic and help to raise some of the funds needed
to maintain and expand their services.
Anyone wanting to join in with the event can donate at
www.justgiving.com/campaign/rainbowramble21
and are encouraged to also set up their own sponsorship page by following the link and clicking on
“start fundraising.”
Kat Nelson, Head of Fundraising at Rainbow Hub said “we are devastated that we cannot celebrate our
birthday with everyone on the centre but we will be planning a big event for our 21st next year.
But we hope people will take part in our Virtual Ramble and share pictures and videos completing their
challenge on the day using the hashtag #RainbowRamble and perhaps set up their own just giving page and
get sponsorship to help us raise much needed funds.”
