Parking at National Trust Formby was completely full by 11am this morning, it is extremely busy
National Trust Formby car park was completely full by 11am this morning and is expected to be very busy the next few days due to school holidays and warm weather, especially over the Easter Bank Holiday. There is limited parking at Formby and queuing time can often be long until places become available.
A spokesperson from National Trust Formby said: “Please plan you trip for another day. Victoria Road car park is full, only a few spaces at Lifeboat Road. There's a high Spring tide just before 1pm, with the sea reaching the dunes, so no beach.”
“Thanks for following government guidelines around travel and social distancing.”
Lifeboat Road parking is also available as well as the Squirrel Reserve but please leave your car at home and get the train to walk in if possible.
Previous bank holidays have seen exceptionally long traffic queues, sometimes backing up all the way to the Formby bypass and have created a number of headaches for local residents with their driveways being blocked.
Please respect residents property and refrain from blocking driveways.
Easter weekend:
Visitors are strongly advised to help by using public transport this weekend or by visiting on a day when it’s less busy.
Anyone that does visit our beautiful beaches and pinewoods, please remember to TAKE YOUR RUBBISH HOME WITH YOU!!!!
