I think most Formby residents would agree, the infrastructure just can’t cope anymore
Dear Formby Bubble:
I think most formby residents would agree, the infrastructure just can’t cope anymore.
Formby is a small village cut off from the rest of Sefton, and it’s absolutely bursting at the seams. C. 1000 houses have been built between liverpool road, Tesla way, Andrew’s lane and Brackenway. Formby has a population of c 22k. If there’s 3-4 people in each home, that’s an extra 3-4K people. Which is an increase of around 20%.
What has been done to support this massive influx of people? Nothing. No help for the roads, no help for the doctors, no help for dentists or schools. Formby is being used as a cash cow at the expense of the residents. 20% more strain on everything with no investment at all.
Sefton council have shared their plans, which involve building more houses in #Formby
They’re inviting comments on their proposals (which by the way mention no infrastructure improvements at all) by email, closing 2nd December: local.plan@sefton.gov.uk
