Formby VE Day 80th Anniversary Celebrations – Formby Remembers.

Thursday 8th May 2025 marks 80 years since VE Day – Victory in Europe Day – when the Allies formally accepted Nazi Germany’s unconditional surrender, marking the end of WWII in Europe. It’s a time to reflect, honour and come together in remembrance of those who gave so much for our freedom.
#Formby will be proudly commemorating this historic occasion with a series of community events:

All are welcome.

Sunday 11th May | 1pm–6pm – Family Celebration in QEII Park (Lonsdale Road Park). - A joyful community event featuring live music, dancing, and theatrical displays. Bring your friends, families, and picnic blankets for an afternoon of celebration in the beautiful QEII Gardens (next to Formby Little Theatre).

Let’s come together as a community – whether at one of the events, in your garden, or simply raising a cuppa at home – to remember, celebrate, and give thanks.
Lest we forget.
