Formby Rotary sponsored students for the Rotary Leadership Awards

This year Formby Rotary Club were again proud to select and sponsor students aged between 16 and 18 years old from the Secondary Schools in Formby to attend the activity training course at Arthog Activity Centre near Barmouth in North Wales.
This is the course which has an intent to provide young students with superior leadership skills.
Last week at the Formby Club these students returned to give a presentation to the club on their experience.
The presentation comprised of feedback by the boys accompanied by a photo slideshow of their experience of the Leadership and Teamwork through Adventure course and the resultant benefits gained.
Three boys Ethan Gowen, Jack James and Ewan Sands are Explorer Scouts from the Vikings Group - Formby.
The fourth boy Thomas Charnock is a former pupil from Formby High School and currently at Salford University.
The District Governor Norman Waddell presented Certificate of the Rotary Youth Leadership Award.
President Jeff Howard responded and thanked the boys for their amazing presentations and on their achievements at this incredibly challenging Adventure Course.
