REPRESENTATIVE TEAM MATCHES

FJSC Under 13 Blacks have become  Craven Minor League Under 13Championship Division Champions.  It was a thrilling end of season for the boys. In midweek FJSC Under 13 Blacks defeated league leaders TQ Football Academy 5-3 with two goals each from Ethan Murphy and Ethan Richmond and one from Patrick Fleming to close the gap on the leaders.  On Sunday FJSC Under 13 Blacks in their final match of the season needed to win away at third in the league Southport Hesketh Blues to become League Champions.

The Under 13’s produced a disciplined performance and gained the necessary three points with a 3-1 victory.   Top scorer Ethan Richmond was once again on the scoresheet.  Congratulations to the entire squad who have come along way over the last few years and well done to manager Kevin Uttley and Assistant Manager Mark Hughes on this achievement. See photo above.

FJSC Under 10 Whites played Muniflex in the Cup Final.  At full time the score was level at 2-2. The match went to a penalty shoot out but unfortunately FJSC lost.  It is always a cruel way for a team to lose.  However it has been a wonderful season for the boys.  The team won the Spring Championship and came runners-up in the Premier Division as well as being cup finalists.

FJSC Under 11 Blacks started this game wellagainst Ormskirk FC and took control of the match with some strong midfield play from Sylvan O’Hara and Ben Webster. With the defensive partnership of Louis O’Connor and Alex Barr back together, Ormskirk struggled to create anything to test Oscar Phillips in goal. Midway through the first half, Louis O’Connor brought the ball out of defence and made a bursting run forward, after passing wide to Caden Walker who hit the wing, Caden then passed the ball inside the Ormskirk box to Charlie Richardson who made a lovely lay off to Louis who had continued his run onto the edge of the box and coolly slotted into the bottom corner to make it 1 nil.

FJSC continued their good performance in the first half and if it was not for the new Ormskirk keeper pulling off some brilliant saves, the score would have been much greater. Just before half time the pressure told and a FJSC corner which was won by the non-stop running of Luke Millington was converted by Sylvan O’Hara to make the score 2-0 at half time.

In the second half the game continued in the same fashion with Isaac Jones and Charlie Richardson’s non-stop running and battling up front giving the Ormskirk defence no rest with the Ormskirk goal keeper pulling off save after save. Leo Fagan came on to help protect the defence as Ormskirk threw caution to the wind to look for a goal. FJSC looked solid until just before full time when Ormskirk managed to pull one goal back from a corner to make the final score 2-1. Man of the Match Louis O’Connor for his best defensive performance of the season.

FJSC Under 14 Blacks Saturday team played in the semi-final against Fazakerley Rangers and won 5-3.  Man of the Match Archie Ogden scored four goals after Luca Massey had opened the scoring.  Daniel Hill, Charlie Garvey, Freddie Garvey and Lucas Bowles all made assists.  The final takes place onTuesday 14th May 7.15pm.

FJSC Under 6 Blacks played Netherton and continued their fine form with another very good result.  Top scorer Thomas Mitchell added to his scoring record and Ollie Jones also scored a hat trick.  Max Healey, Tayo Popoola and Theo Thomas also played well.   Man of the Match was Ollie Jones and the Referee’s Player of the Match was Thomas Mitchell.
