Emergency Services were called to Formby village after an RTC

RTC on Chapel Lane in Formby Village. Emergency services were called to Formby village as a small blue Honda Jazz crashed into the side of the Smiths TV shop.

Police had Chapel Lane completely blocked off for an hour. Merseyside Fire & Rescue we're also at the scene. Police blue tape is still in place on the sidewalk as the car is damaged and on the pavement. The building has to be checked as the car, although now moved, actually crashed into it.

A bystander said, "I was coming out of the shop and just managed to jump out of the way as the car hit the side of the building, just missing me!"

The man who was in his 80's and was thought to have had a heart attack at the wheel. The man was taken to hospital by ambulance and his condition is not known as this stage.
