Car Crashes through fence into the Woods at Kirklake Road and St Luke’s Church Road Junction
An RTC occurred this evening, Sunday 24th November, at the junction of Kirklake Road and St Luke’s Church Road, where a car ploughed through the fence and into the adjacent woods at the entrance to the footpath. Emergency services, including police and two recovery vehicles, are currently on-site assessing the situation and working on extracting the vehicle from the wooded area.
Thankfully nobody was hurt in the incident.
The crash, which appears to have been caused by significant speed and does not seem accidental, has led to the full closure of the road. Police have cordoned off the area, and no traffic is being allowed through until recovery operations are complete.
Motorists and residents in the area are advised to avoid the junction and find alternative routes. The road closure is expected to remain in place for several hours while recovery teams safely remove the vehicle.
We will provide further updates as they become available. For now, please follow any instructions from police officers on-site and allow recovery crews the space to work efficiently.
