Another Yellow Weather Warning Issued for Formby and Sefton
Another yellow ice warning has been issued for the Formby and wider Merseyside area, as cold weather continues to grip the region. Temperatures are forecast to drop as low as -2°C from 1am to 11am on Friday, January 10, marking the seventh consecutive day of weather warnings.
The yellow ice warning is in effect from 4pm today until 10am tomorrow morning, with the Met Office cautioning that icy patches on untreated roads, pavements, and cycle paths may lead to travel disruption and an increased risk of slips and falls.
Residents are urged to take precautions, including allowing extra travel time, wearing appropriate footwear, and avoiding rushing during icy conditions.
Thursday night is expected to bring a hard frost, with widespread freezing temperatures across the UK. Inland areas will likely stay dry and frosty, but coastal regions could see wintry showers.
A milder spell is expected to gradually move in over the weekend, bringing some relief from the icy conditions. However, until then, please take care and stay safe on the roads and pavements.
