Amazing £33,200 raised for the Rainbow Hub charity by Formby couple’s Hollywood Ball
Formby couple, Lisa and Paul Maddison, have raised an amazing £33,200 from their spectacular
Hollywood themed ball for Rainbow Hub, the charity supporting children and young people with physical and neurological disabilities from across the North West.
The couple, whose daughter Katie (15) has attended conductive education at Rainbow Hub for the past
14 years, were not able to go ahead with their annual event last year due to the pandemic much to
everyone’s disappointment. However, they made up for it this year with at the event held in the Ambassador Suite at Formby Hall Golf Resort and Spa on 18th September and sponsored by Luke Martin, MD of TFS Group.
Guests enjoyed a four course dinner; live entertainment from The Wickermen; a raffle; live auction
and one lucky guest won a 1.5ct diamond jewellery set donated by HSBC.
But the highlight of the evening was a captivating dance routine, specifically created for the event by talented choreographer Emma Lippitt and performed by “The Hollywood Hotties” - 17 courageous guests,
none of whom are professionals, who gave up their time to rehearse and help raise the fantastic sum that was achieved. https:justgiving.com/fundraising/hollywoodhotties.
In addition to the generous support provided by TFS Group the event, benefited from support from local businesses such as McG Consultancy Services; Paws ‘n’ Claws; Edmund Bell; Normac Shipping; Purple Kitchens; Last Act; Make Noise and Ewemove. Floral arrangements were donated by Flowerstyle by Laurie and HSBC supported the event through match funding and prize donations.
Lyndsay Fahey, Chief Executive, Rainbow Hub, said “we are delighted with the amazing sum that Lisa and Paul have raised. Their annual ball is always very special but this has exceeded all expectations. We cannot thank them and everyone who has supported the event enough – it means so much to all the children and team at Rainbow Hub – without help from people like Lisa, Paul, Luke and all the wonderful companies and guests, we would not be able to continue to offer the therapies that are so important to the children we support.”
Lisa Maddison said, “We had a fabulous evening – it was so good to be back and see everyone. Special thanks to Luke Martin of TFS Group for his continued support; Emma for her choreography and training; the brave Hollywood Hotties; HSBC, all of our sponsors and our guests.”
Luke Martin, MD TSF Group, added “TFS Group is proud to provide sponsorship and financial support, for a third consecutive year for the upcoming Hollywood ball in aid of Rainbow Hub.
The continued success of TFS Group within the facilities management marketplace, provides a platform of financial support for Rainbow Hub who heavily depend on our contributions.
Our ability to provide financial support to charities both nationally and internationally, remains a measured cornerstone of our success"
