Altcar Road is closed in both directions due to roadworks

Altcar Road (B5195), is closed in both directions today, Sunday 14th February.

They are replacing all the manhole covers along the road which means digging around each one, the work will be completed before the end of the day.

Alternative routes:

Church Road northbound, onto Ryeground Lane, Southport Road and onto the bypass. or

Cross Green, take a left at the roundabout onto Liverpool Road and follow all way round to the bypass.
