A new establishment, 'The Auld Dubliner', will soon grace the heart of Formby village

We are pleased to announce that a new establishment, 'The Auld Dubliner', will soon grace the heart of Formby village, taking the place of the cherished Tibu.

Renowned for its authentic Irish ambiance, The Auld Dubliner promises to deliver an unparalleled experience, offering a wide array of Ales, Stouts, Guinness, live sports, live music, pool and darts.

The transition is evident as signs bearing the name 'The Auld Dubliner' were unveiled earlier today, Friday, April 5th.

Tibu bid farewell to its patrons on Sunday, March 31st, expressing gratitude for their loyalty over the past nearly three years and announcing plans for an extensive refurbishment, marking a shift towards something entirely new.

Previously known for its internationally inspired cuisine and serving as a beloved haunt for patrons including Steven Gerrard, Tibu, under the stewardship of Tibu Pinedo, had established itself as a prominent restaurant and cocktail bar since its inception in the summer of 2021.

The arrival of The Auld Dubliner heralds an exciting new chapter for Formby village, promising to contribute to the vibrancy of our community and ensuring its continued allure as a destination of choice.
