A motorist spotted a woman’s body on the Formby bypass.

At 4:30am this morning, Tuesday 24th August, a motorist was driving down the Formby bypass southbound and spotted a body lying on the grass verge. He quickly turned around and stopped to check. He discovered it was a young lady and the police and ambulance were called.

He told the Formby Bubble that he thought it was a dead body and he was shocked.

The police came within a few minutes and took the woman away. It turned out she was a 22year old from Seaforth.

The man said she did not know how she got there but the woman seemed to be okay and had a pain in her hip because she had been lying there for quite a long time.
