A Fantastic Night of Rock and Roll with over £1,500 raised towards Humanitarian Aid for Ukraine

Formby Rotary have done it again! Managed to host a fabulous night fundraising for charity. This time their efforts were to raise money for Humanitarian Aid for Ukraine.

The event took place at the Gild Hall in #Formby on Thursday 23rd March 2023. It was a fantastic night of Rock and Roll with Mike Byrne and the fabulous Sunrockers. There was a packed audience and the concert raised over £1,500 which is amazing!

Alan Gibson from Formby Rotary said: “We are pleased to announce that we were delighted to have representatives from Ukraine leading us in the singing of their National Anthem before the concert began at 7.30pm. We were honoured by the presence of Ivan and Tatyana from the Ukraine wearing their national costume as they sang to the tune of the Ukrainian National Anthem.”

“Mike Byrne and the Sunrockers were absolutely brilliant and everyone danced the night away. We managed to raise over £1,500 for this amazing cause.”
