Formby Junior Sports Club to return this weekend

Formby Junior Sports Club will be back in action this next weekend, the 5th and 6th December, with a full programme of Inter Club coaching and matches and also fixtures for all the club’s Representative teams. It has been a long time since any football has been played and there is no doubt that all the club’s members will be raring to go. Inter Club arrangements for Saturday 5th December at Deansgate Lane Playing Fields will be the same apart from the Year 3/4 session starting at 10.30am instead of 10.45am. All age groups have staggered times deliberately so that the boys and parents can be spaced out at this time when social distancing is so important. Everyone is asked to arrive on time for sessions and to follow the Covid-19 guidance that FJSC has in place. The start times are – Reception 9.45am, Years 5/6 at 10am, Year 1 and the Year 3/4 group at 10.30am and the Year 2’s at 11.15am. Now that the winter weather has arrived a warmer layer of clothing is advised for the children to wear. New members are very welcome and anyone wishing to just come along and give football a try will also be made to feel at home at FJSC. On Saturday FJSC’s Under 15’s play away at Crosby Stuart and FJSC Under 16’s are at home against Southport Trinity Whites. On Sunday there are home matches for the two Under 7 teams. FJSC Whites play Southport Trinity Whites and FJSC Blacks will entertain Redgate Green. FJSC Under 8’s travel fifty yards from their home pitch to play away at Redgate Green. The two Under 10 teams play two new teams to the league. FJSC Whites are in action away at TQ Football Academy Barca whilst FJSC Blacks are at home to TQ Football Academy Madrid.
