Formby retirees raise over £1,300 with Movember challenge

Apartment Owners at Churchill Retirement Living‘s Trinity Lodge in the heart of Formby took on the Movember challenge and helped raise £672 through sponsorship. This amount has been match-funded by Churchill’s charitable arm – the Churchill Foundation – meaning a total of £1,344 will go towards Prostate Cancer UK and CALM, a men’s mental health charity.

Colin Preston, David Smith, Alex Moon, Bill Black, Tom Bradshaw, Mark Summers and Reverend Chris Quine took on the challenge to raise awareness and much needed funds for their chosen charities, and to have a bit of fun along the way.

Lodge Manager Jo Taylor, who oversees the day-to-day running of Trinity Lodge and helped co-ordinate the Movember challenge, said: “They have all done really well and I’m very proud that they took part, with some impressive Movember Moustaches on display by the end of the month! We were delighted that the Churchill Foundation was able to match-fund the amount raised to support the amazing work of our chosen charities Prostate Cancer UK and CALM.”
