Car park changes at National Trust Formby

So that The National Trust can improve the experience of parking your car, they are introducing new pay & display machines at both Lifeboat Road and Victoria Road car parks. Here’s everything you need to know before you visit.

Pay & display machines have been in use at the Victoria Road car park since October 2019. From 16th December 2019, pay & display machines will be in use at the Lifeboat Road car park.

How does it work?

You will no longer pay for parking at the kiosk on arrival. Please drive straight through, find a spot and park up. You will need to go to one of the pay & display machines, pay with coins or scan your National Trust Membership card and pop the ticket on your dashboard so that it is clearly visible. At the Lifeboat Road car park, payment is only required between dawn and dusk.

How much does it cost?

If you are a National Trust member, parking is free – just remember to bring your membership card to scan at the machine or speak to one of our team if you’ve left it at home. For non-members, a daily rate of £7.50 applies.

How can I pay?

Currently, the pay & display machines do not accept card payments, but our staff do have card machines available if you need one. When using coins, please use the exact amount as the machines do not give change.
