Two performances of the Formby Nativity this Saturday at Formby Pool Gardens

The Formby Nativity will take place on Saturday 30th November at 10:30am and again at 11:30am at Formby Pool Gardens.

The title and theme this year is 'The Advent Calendar.'

The Christmas story is told through a family looking at pictures in an advent calendar and launches Formby's First living advent calendar in shops and businesses in the village throughout December.

The mother sits by the Christmas tree with an advent calendar on the table. Windows of the calendar are opened and mum explains what they tell us about the various events of Christmas. Meanwhile the story behind these windows is acted out on stage.

Although other towns have done advent calendars this is the first one based on the original Christmas story and where each window builds on the last one to build the story over a timeline.
