Young local author releases her debut novel - Mine

Emily Merrill, who went to Formby High School and Sixth Form, started her debut novel, Mine, when she was eighteen years old and a first year university student at Leeds. Today her very first novel has been released.

Mine follows Avery, a second year university student who experiences an abusive relationship, and follows her journey to recovery.

Now aged twenty-one, she lives in York with her best friend, using every spare moment to write book two.
