Erin Bannon has been crowned Formby's Unite Martial Art's youngest black belt
Erin Bannon, aged 9 achieved her 1st Degree Black Belt in Taekwondo on 13th July 2019 to become Formby Unite’s youngest blackbelt.
She started Taekwondo when she was 3 and received her Dragon Black belt aged 6 – she then progressed to cadets and has achieved her Black Belt in only 3 years. She is now working on achieving her 2nd Degree.
Her coach Lisa Scott looked on with pride as she received her belt. Lisa said, she is one determined little girl, she trains four evenings per week and always gives her best- from day one she was determined to achieve her black belt and that’s exactly what she has done – she is our youngest ever black belt and we really couldn’t be any prouder of her. She is amazing!
Erin is part the Unite Poomsae team and has travelled the country winning medals along with the rest of the team. She is very dedicated to the sport.
Erin received her black belt alongside Kieran, Darci, George and Harry and Jim Scott (Unite Coach) who received his 4th Dan.
