Appointment of new Headteacher at Range High School Confirmed
The Governing Body of Range High School received a large number of applications from high quality candidates for the Headteacher post.
After undertaking an intensive and stringent selection process, Range High are delighted to announce that their next Headteacher will be Mr Mike McGarry, who was the outstanding candidate from those shortlisted.
He comes to Range High from the high performing Belvedere Academy in South Liverpool where he has held a number of senior positions including Associate Principal and most recently Acting Principal. He will take up his post at Range High School on 1st September.
Following his appointment, Mr McGarry commented, “I am thrilled at the prospect of becoming the next Headteacher at Range High. Quite clearly, the school is at an interesting and challenging time in its proud history of serving the community of Formby and the surrounding area. It will be my great privilege to lead the school community in the coming years as we aim to secure the very best set of outcomes for all of our students. I look forward to working with the governors, teaching and support staff, our parents and most of all the young people at Range, who were impressively articulate during the interview process!”
Governors are confident that Mr McGarry will continue and take forward the excellent work of Mr Aldridge over the last nine years.
Congratulations to Mr McGarry, and a very warm welcome to Range High School.
