Formby resident who is running the London Marathon in aid of Barnardo's is hosting a raffle nigh

Local resident Karen Menzie is trying to raise as much money for Barnardo's children’s charity and is asking for help to reach her target.

The raffle Karen is hosting is on Friday 8th February at Formby Gild Hall at 8pm. Tickets are £2 a strip of 5, prizes include a family pass to Farmer Ted's, a 5 person pass to Breakout Liverpool, a meal for 2 at Don Luigis, plus prizes from Pizza Express Hilal Balti House, Dolce Vita, Bay Horse Toby Carvery, Formby Yoga, and lots more.

To buy tickets people can private message Karen and pay via PayPal or email directly karen.menzie@hotmail.com

Karen will message people their raffle tickets and phone/email winners within 24 hour.

Karen said:" I'm running the London marathon in April for Barnardo's children's charity - my target is to raise a whopping £2,000 in 5 months. I'm looking to do a quiz night in February and I’m wanting local businesses to get involved and donate prizes if they can"

Karen has also helped out in our Bubble and shown great generosity when St Luke's Tea Rooms were broken into earlier this year. To try and get the damage fixed as soon as possible, it was Karen who set up the Just Giving page to help repair the damage done to the Tea Rooms.
