Formby Nativity Musical takes place on Saturday 8th December
Hundreds of children from Our Lady's, St Jerome's, Redgate, Woodlands, St Luke's and Freshfield primary school are eagerly waiting to perform in the Formby Village Nativity which takes place on Saturday 8th December at Formby Pool Gardens. They have been practicing their songs over the past few months and will bring energy and enthusiasm to the performance.
The school children will be joined by the popular and acclaimed G Force and Make Noise adult choir and the junior Make noise 2. For the first time this year Live to Learn Drama group will be performing with dance and signing. The Southport based group of adults with learning disabilities who produce excellent musical theatre have fit the Formby Nativity into their busy schedule.
The story follows two young angels played by Niamh Norbury and Luke Foster through the Christmas story led by Angel Gabriel played by Denise Clarke. Anna Ferguson makes a youthful Mary and Mike Crilly an engaging Joseph. Beautiful 9 week old Imogen Robinson (pictured below) will be a star attraction as Baby Jesus and will be eagerly watched by her parents and extended family.
The plays will take place at 11a.m and 12.15p.m churches together formby, at Formby Pool Gardens with refreshments available inbetween performance thanks to volunteers from the friends of Formby Pool.
Dympna Edwards, one of the organiser from Churches Together said: "it is a wonderful community event that engages so many people from across Formby and beyond. We are very grateful to all the teachers, choir leaders, actors, staff and volunteers at Formby Pool and everyone behind the scenes who have worked hard to bring enjoyment to so many".
