Formby and Freshfield Beach Litter Angels are out again tonight and need your support
A group of friendly Formby people who care about their beach and the environment have set up a new group called the Formby and Freshfield Beach Litter Angels. They regularly go down to our beach and do litter picks.
They have already made a huge difference and the Love My Beach NW group said: "It was a Pleasure to meet the newest beach clean group on the North West Coast, the Formby & Freshfield Beach Litter Angels. Less than a month after starting and they’ve got huge support from local residents, keep up the good work!"
A spokeswoman from the Litter Angels said: "If you want to blow the cobwebs away and meet some friendly people who care for their beach, please come down and get involved in our regular litter picks. They are usually held of an evening between 8pm and 9pm."
"Please arrive for 7.45 pm for a brief chat. All equipment is provided, but please bring gloves! Our next Litter pick is on Tuesday 7th August at Freshfield and then on Thursday 9th August. Meet at Lifeboat Road."
"FOR FRESHFIELD BEACH, VICTORIA ROAD MEETINGS. PLEASE MEET AT FRESHFIELD BEACH CAR PARK, Drive straight through, past the hut, through the gate, to the car park. MEET AT THE WOODEN PURPOSE BUILT BIN SHED. There is a meeting point sign on the bin shed."
"FOR FORMBY BEACH, LIFEBOAT ROAD MEETINGS. PLEASE MEET AT THE FORMBY BEACH , LIFEBOAT ROAD CAR PARK NOTICE BOARD. There will be a Meeting Point sign on the Notice board."
"As you drive into the car park at Lifeboat rd, please take the left fork, and take the left at the end. This takes you to the Meeting point car park."
