Belly Dancers storm Formby festival stall
The Rotary Club of Formby spent the weekend at the Formby Festival, manning their stall showing the sort of projects the Club is involved in and hoping to attract new members.
There was a Rotary Shelterbox on display showing the equipment that is contained within. These boxes are sent all over the world in the event of a disaster and contain the basic necessities to support victims until more permanent help can be put in place.
There were members on hand to encourage festival goers to try their hands at various games. There was also a TV to be won by guessing the number of dog biscuits in a jar. The successful guesser was Wendy Foster from Liverpool. She guessed 416 biscuits which was only one away from the 415 that were contained in the jar.
Rotarians were delighted to welcome the Hip, Hop and Horn Belly Dancers to the stall before they performed their delightful dance routines. Club members all agreed that the Festival had been a great success and an enjoyable exercise in recruitment.
