Freshfield Animal Rescue open day cancelled

Freshfields Animal Rescue’s open day is an important annual event, where we can open our doors to our much valued supporters, adopters and donors and thank them for their life-changing commitment to therescue, rehabilitation and rehoming work of our charity.
We have taken the decision however, to take a break from the Open Day this year so that we can spend time planning for a series of events, talks and activities next year. Helen Stanbury, Director of the charity, said: ‘We’ve become a victim of our own success. This is a great problem to have of course. Last year’s event saw record numbers through the doors and as fantastic as that is, we have a limited capacity for people and for parking.
We are sorry to those of you who have the event marked in your calendar already. The good news is we will be preparing to take our ‘show’ on the road, with a year-long series of tours, talks and events across Merseyside, to mark our 40th anniversary, celebrate our achievements so far and to thank the communities who help us find loving, forever homes for over 2,000 animals like Tyson (pictured) every year.” Please keep an eye out for Freshfields and for events that might be happening in your area! Thank you all for your fantastic support for the animals. We hope you are as excited as us about next year. Please keep an eye on our events calendar. You can keep up to date with all our upcoming events via our website at www.freshfields.org.uk and on Facebook and Twitter For more information please contact Emma Jensen at emma@freshfields.org.uk or call 07591 205078.
