Are you related to Sergeant Charles H. Bradshaw?
The members of Formby United Reformed Church are looking for any family of Sergeant Charles H. Bradshaw who served in 6 th King’s Regiment in the Great War.
Following on from the cascade of poppies at the Tower of London in 2014 to remember all the soldiers who were killed in WW1, an idea for the end of the commemorations is to place perspex outlines of a WW1 soldiers in churches round the country representing the individuals who lost their lives. See ( www.therebutnotthere.org.uk )
Sergeant Bradshaw is the only name on the WW1 memorial plaque in Formby URC. He died in France at the age of 20 on 21 st March 1918.
The Church has bought a Perspex outline and a name plate with Sergeant Bradshaw’s name on it and it will be displayed in the church on Armistice Sunday.
If anyone is related to him or has information on him, the church members would like to hear from you. You may wish to attend the service when he especially, will be remembered.
Please contact Sheila, Tel 01704 879998 if you have any information. Thank you
