Formby Rotary celebrate St Patrick's day
The Rotary Club of Formby held a celebration evening for St Patrick's Day recently. Club members and friends and family attended the evening at Formby Hall Golf Club.
The guests were served a traditional Irish Stew with colcannon which was washed down with an Irish whisky.
Following on from the meal there was an Irish quiz. Fortunately the Club has a number of Irish members so there was expert help on hand for answering the questions!
The evening concluded with a group of local musicians playing traditional Irish folk tunes which had the audience enthusiastically joining in.
The evening was a great success and the Club would like to thank everyone who came along to help make things go with a swing and Formby Hall Golf Club for once again serving up a tasty meal.
The Club is holding Charity Concert on 27 April 8pm at St Jerome's Church Hall featuring Make Noise Choir, The Country Folk and Grateful Fred's Ukelear Band. Admission by tickets only. Tickets cost £6 and can be obtained by ringing 01704 382349. All proceeds to go to International Rotary Charities.
