Appeal for information after damage to property in Formby

Merseyside Police are appealing for information regarding damage to a property on Gardener Road in Formby in the early hours of this morning, Wednesday 13th December.

A spokesman from Merseyside Police said: "A report was received at around 9.45am this morning (13 December) of damage to a property on Gardner Road in Formby."

"It is believed that a vehicle has hit the wall outside in the early hours causing damage to a tree and the wall. No arrests have been made, enquiries are ongoing."

A neighbour was woken by the noise just after 2am this morning and said: "I Just woke up hearing a lot of noise (just after 2am) and saw a car driving off badly. It had knocked down my neighbours tree and wall. Parts of the tree landed by my car! There is oil all over the road on the corner."

"The damage is worse than it looks in the picture as the tree has been pushed right over."

The car is reported to be silver and in the shape of an older VW golf and possibly an '07 plate.
