Merseyside Police appealing for information after a burglary in Formby
Merseyside Police is appealing for information following a report of a burglary in Formby. Officers were called to Kent Road shortly after 11.25am on Tuesday 31st October to a report that three male offenders were attempting to enter the rear door of a house. It was reported two were in the back garden attempting to enter through a rear door and the third was in a blue car at the front of the house. A Police spokesman said: "The males were disturbed and got into the car and drove in the direction of Liverpool Road. They are then believed to have got out of the vehicle and made off on foot towards the sand dunes where Police attended and an area search was carried out."
Police cars and vans were at the scene along with Police Dog Handlers and also the Police helicopter was scrambled to join in the search.
