Merseyside Police in pursuit of two men who had burgled three homes in Formby

Merseyside Police were called to Formby sand dunes this afternoon, Tuesday 31st October, to search for two men who had reportedly stolen a car and used it to burgle three houses in Formby earlier this afternoon.

Police cars and vans were at the scene along with Police Dog Handlers and also the Police helicopter was scrambled to join in the search which is thought to be still on-going.

An eye-witness at the scene said: "I had just been out for my hour walk and was told about the two men, one of them being ginger haired, lots of Police and dog handlers but unfortunately, I did not spot them."
