Prehistoric deer footprints revealed in the sediment beds at Freshfield

Malcolm Terry captured this brilliant photo of a large number of prehistoric deer footprints revealed in the sediment beds at Freshfield by the recent high tides and winds at National Trust Formby.
"There's a small patch of sediment bed exposed just a few yards north of the Victoria Rd entrance to the beach at Freshfield", Malcolm explains. "Its full of Red Deer and Roe Deer prints".
