The Pride of Formby awards was an emotional night to remember

Friday 13th October, was the second year of the Pride of Formby Awards organised by Formby Parish Council. It was a huge success that has now become an annual event to recognise our unsung heroes of Formby.

The event was held at Gild Hall in Formby with guest presenters David Fairclough, John Parrot MBE, Alex Dickenson and the Mayor of Sefton together with Compare Neil Newton who kept the whole event ticking along nicely.

The Mundo Afrika Choir opened the nights awards.

It was a night to honour both our young and older generation for all that they have done for the community and others and the reasons why they won were truly outstanding.

A spokesperson from Formby Parish Council said: "We would like to thank all our sponsors and supporters of the event who have sponsored the night and trophies awarded to our heroes in our local community.
