STEMCELLSCOUSERS RAISE OVER £25,000 for Blood Cancer Charities

StemcellScousers was formed in 2015 by FORMBY brothers Kevin and Tony Dunne after Tony was diagnosed with a very rare blood disorder which only affects one person in a million called SEVERE APLASTIC ANAEMIA. Which is when the Bone Marrow stops making Blood Cells .Tony was told straight away that his best chance of surviving was to have a STEMCELL TRANSPLANT. STEMCELLSCOUSERS now raise awareness of Stem Cell Transplants ,support Stem Cell Donor appeals, and fundraise for Blood Cancer Charities

Every 20 minutes someone is diagnosed with Blood Cancer like Leukaemia and Lymphoma and around 2000 UK patients per year need a STEMCELL TRANSPLANT to survive but sadly only half manage to find a Donor

Stemcellscousers have teamed up with the Anthony Nolan Charity, DKMS, Leukaemia Care and the Royal Liverpool Hospital which has the Mersey regional StemCell TRANSPLANT UNIT.

IN just 2 years the Stemcellscousers have raised over £25,000 for these organisations

In support of Blood Cancer Awareness the STEMCELLSCOUSERS teamed up with DKMS, the RCHARITY at the Royal LIVERPOOL Hospital and the

@registerforruby appeal to hold a STEMCELL DONOR RECRUITMENT EVENT

In the main entrance hall of the Royal Liverpool Hospital and signed up 113 New StemCell Donors bringing their total for the year to 227 new donors

Stemcellscousers fundraising activities are supported by ALDI, Co-op, TESCO, SAINSBURYS, AND WAITROSE Supermarkets and their latest event at ALDI Park Lane Netherton they collected £1233.35 for the Anthony Nolan Blood Cancer Charity Kevin would like to say a Massive Thank you to all the staff and customers for their Fantastic generosity

Stemcellscousers have built up a worldwide Twitter following and have people as far afield as Japan and Brazil retweeting their appeals and in February this year supported the @registerforruby appeal. Ruby is from El Salvador and married to Sam from Litherland. A donor was eventually found in Brazil. This year Kevin received a direct message on Twitter from @fintanadonor in AUSTRALIA asking for the #Stemcellscousers to help with their Appeal
