A petition has now been set up against the planning application to turn a house on Cambridge Road in Formby into a children's care home.
The residents say: "We the local residents of Formby would like to oppose the planning application for a care home in 30 Cambridge Road, Formby, for children with Emotional Behavioural difficulties. Please sign our petition by CLICKING HERE

A house in Formby could soon be converted into a children’s care home.
Plans have been submitted to transform the large detached house, on Cambridge Road, to provide provide a safe and secure home for four young people.
The proposals have been submitted by Family Care Group, a family-owned provider of fostering, residential and education services.
The company owns a network of properties including former residential dwellings that provide safety, security and care for children and young people and it is now eyeing the Formby house as its latest property.
Sefton Council will now decide on the proposal, which requires planning permission as it classes as a change of use of the building.
If the plans are approved, up to four vulnerable young people at a time could live at the property at a time, with staff also at the building 24-hours a day.
