The Freshfield Pub re-opened with Laurel and Hardy after the refurbishment
The Freshfield pub in Formby has had a beautiful refurbishment and opened it's doors to its eager public on Friday 11th August at 6pm with the help of the brilliant Laurel and Hardy lookalikes.
The popular Formby pub closed on Monday 31st July for a 'freshen up'. We were pleasantly surprised to see the changes which were quite amazing considering only being closed for just over a week including new patio doors leading out to the garden terrace.
We first noticed how bright and welcoming the decor was with lighter shades and a homely, rural feeling that was really nice. There was an abundance of house plants placed on shelving that felt warm and pleasant. The new patio doors at the back have opened up the pub to a lovely external seating area with the usual Freshie array of flowers that always look beautiful.
Pleasant seating areas for groups of friends or for intimate dining and also it is a dog friendly pub with special brass rings under the seats in the designated area to tie your dog lead to.
General Manager, Jo Gillespie said: "We opened on Friday 11th August for drinks only and enjoyed a very pleasant evening with special guests Laurel and Hardy entertaining everyone with their unbelievable up close magic. The atmosphere was lovely and everyone had a great night."
