Resident is concerned about suspicious men in a white van

We have received reports of a white van going around Formby with two men in it acting suspiciously.

One resident told the Formby Bubble: "Two men pulled up in a white Ford Transit van, both men got out and the two men came onto our front drive, one knocked while the other stood back, then they swapped places, they looked up at the open windows and in the car up the drive."

"I didn't answer the door as I had the children with me and they made me feel uneasy. I didn't understand why both of them would need to come to the property that way. It could be something totally innocent but, it all felt very strange and their behaviour made me uncomfortable. The dog started going crazy so they didn't linger long and they drove out of the road. They didn't go to any neighbouring properties."

Despite everything, the Police have been informed. The resident said: "The police are now involved and after they saw the CCTV footage, they decided to circulate the details to trace and stop the vehicle as there was something on their system with regards to the van, which makes me even more worried they were unsavoury characters.

Has anyone else had a similar experience but maybe opened the door? Maybe there was a scrap van going around. The resident concerned would be so pleased if it was something completely innocent.
