Incident at National Trust property when two children were reported missing

Two children were reported missing at National Trust Formby on Sunday 18th June. They had wondered off and it was so busy they could not be found.
Merseyside Police were called in to search for the missing children.
Police officers, coastguard workers, and police dogs were among those searching on the beach and in the woods.
The National Trust property was so busy in what was the hottest day we've had this year, the Trust car park was completely full at 11am with queues over half a mile long waiting to get in.
The search came to an end at around 5pm when the children were found safe and well at the Victoria Road end of the National Trust Property.
