Formby man drives through 7 countries in 7 days to support Manchester

On 7th June, Formby man, Tony Pimblett began a challenge of all challenges. He was attempting to drive through 7 Countries in 7 days in order to raise money for the children caught up in the Manchester bombing attack.
Tony was driving a 94 Toyota Celica 2,610 miles through seven countries in seven days and dressed as the Stig (but in black). Tony has raised over £500 of his £1,000 target so please make a donation, however small by CLICKING HERE
The route is 2,610 miles long and required approximately 7 hours of driving every day. The route incorporated the Crumball Rally. This part of the route was about 650 miles and took 3 days to complete.
The Crumball Rally known this year as THE ITALIAN JOB – 9th to 11th JUNE 2017. This rally takes its inspiration from the classic 1969 crime caper. Taking in France, Switzerland and Italy in 3 days and visiting several of the key film settings including the incredible St. Bernard Pass and the City of Turin, before heading onto Monte Carlo via the spectacular scenery of the Col du Tende, and then Nice for the Finish.

After leaving the Crumball Rally in Nice the Stig still has 3 countries and 1,200 miles to go through Nice, then Andora and Spain.
Tony finished the drive with 15 minutes to go!He said: "I made the deadline by just 15 minutes. I had lots of time until a diversion on the A5 almost put pay to 7 days of hard driving! As it was, I made it with 15 minutes to spare. I drove through 8 countries in 7 days in the end or 6 countries and 2 principalities for the purists out there. It was brilliant fun but, to be honest, it wasn't about me, It was about the car, the countries, the challenge and the children's charity, 'A Smile for a child'."
Tony drove through England, France, Switzerland, Italy, Monaco, Andorra, Spain and wales. He covered 3,000 miles. Tony has raised over £600 so far. Please help him reach his goal of £1,000 by donating whatever you can to his JustGiving page HERE: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/a-pimblett
All monies raised will go to the charity, A Smile for a Child, Supporting Manchester. The charity is a small grant giving charity that helps disabled and disadvantaged children in the UK to participate and progress in sport.

A Smile For A Child
We are raising money to help those children affected by the horrific bomb attack in Manchester. We will be giving 100% of the money to the two main hospitals in the area.
It helps disabled children and young people to progress in sport. This is done by it buying sports equipment for them to use . It could be something small and simple to something large like a sports wheelchair. Whatever it is the charity wants it to make a difference to that childs life.
