A Royal Mail delivery truck involved in Formby bypass crash

The emergency services were called to the traffic lights of Liverpool Road and the Formby bypass (Monday 3 April 2017) at 1:50pm this afternoon to attend a two vehicle RTC.

A Post Office delivery wagon and a Jaguar had collided at the junction.

The driver of the car was cut free by the fire service and taken to hospital.

The condition of the delivery driver is not thought to be serious.

Delays are expected until both vehicles are recovered from the scene.

Merseyside Police:

At 3:50pm: Road closures in place at Junction of Formby by-pass with the Coastal Road in direction of Ainsdale due to collision. Coastal Road also closed at junction with Pinfold Lane while officers deal with the collision. Thank you for your patience and co-operation.
