'Death on the Agenda' - A Murder Mystery came to Formby
2016 saw the return of ‘The Harry Whitehouse Players’. Having taken a couple of years out due to a dwindling number of cast members, they came back in October, revitalised, to present an original murder mystery entitled ‘Death on the Agenda’, written by and starring Formby resident Tim Hogben.
It also featured Anne Williets, who unfortunately passed away earlier this month, Helen Barton, Dorothy Sanders, Gail Moores, Mark Hogben and Valerie Hogben. There were three performances, two evening ones at their home base in the URC church hall on Church Road and an afternoon matinee for Formby Elim Pentecostal Church’s monthly ‘Meeting Point’ event for elderly members of the community.
The show was very well received, selling out on each event and the company look forward to their next play, which they are hoping to produce at some point in 2017.
If you are interested in joining ‘The Harry Whitehouse Players’, no matter what your age or previous experience, whether you want to be on stage or behind the scenes, they will be very happy to hear from you.
